B+The fine print

Privacy, in plain language.

Short version: this site collects almost nothing, remembers things only in your own browser, and stores signups in one private place.

What the signup form collects

If you join the list or request a commission, the form sends the details you typed: your name, email, and anything optional you chose to add, like a phone number or city. That is all. Entries are stored as a file in a private code repository controlled by Shaz, and they are used only to send the emails you asked for. Nothing is sold, shared, rented or fed to advertising platforms.

What the site remembers in your browser

The experience remembers small things locally, in your own browser only: which chapters you finished, how many songs you played, whether you prefer Chaos Mode, your Director's Cut choice, and whether sound is muted. This is the memory system that lets the site greet you when you return. It never leaves your device, and clearing your browser storage erases it completely.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics to measure anonymous, aggregate traffic: which pages get visited and roughly where visitors come from. It helps decide what to make next. No names, emails or phone numbers are sent to it, there is no advertising and nothing is sold. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. A browser Do Not Track setting or any tracker-blocking extension stops it cleanly.

The site also runs Microsoft Clarity, a session replay and heatmap tool. Clarity records how pages get used: pointer movement, clicks, taps and scrolling, along with the usual browser, device and rough location details. Those recordings are watched to find the spots where the site confuses people. Microsoft processes that data under its privacy statement.

Both tools load on every page as it becomes interactive. There is no cookie banner here and no consent prompt, so if you would rather not be measured or recorded, a tracker-blocking extension is what stops them.

Embedded players

Music players from Spotify, SoundCloud, Audiomack, BeatStars and YouTube load only after you press play on them. Once loaded, those services may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. Until you press play, nothing from them loads at all.

Removal

Want your details gone? Email hello@beatsbyshaz.com from the address you signed up with and it will be deleted from the repository, usually within a few days, always without questions.
